This is an integrated USB Audio driver for AK Devices. The previous USB DAC driver will need to be deleted from the AK Device prior to installing the new driver. To delete the previous driver, connect the AK Device to the computer and the previous driver can be located in the 'Contents' folder. This driver is for Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (32/64bit). The issue occurs when your EndPoints are capped. A USB 3.0 controller has a limited number of EndPoints, just 96 on Intel and older AMD based systems. So if you have a lot of USB devices plugged into your USB 3.0 ports, you’re going to run into this issue. The USB controller is the chip used to communicate data between your USB ports and your PC. 2. Driver is installed only first time. After that, it will be recognized automatically.
3. To use KANN USB DAC as Default device, please modify the setting as below:
- Windows XP: Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices ? Change Sound Playback default device to 'KANN USB DAC' in the ‘Audio’ tab.
- Windows 7/8: Control Panel - Sounds ? Select the 'KANN USB DAC' in the ‘Play’ tab, and then select as “set as the Default device”
4. To play High quality sound in Windows 7/8: Control Panel ? Sounds - Click the Properties of 'KANN USB DAC' - ‘Advanced’ tab ? Change Default to the “24bit, 192000Hz'
5. For Native DSD playback, music playback program can play Native DSD.Depending on the music playback program,
you have to change ‘Device’ into the ‘KANN USB DAC’ in the device settings.

How to install Driver
1. Disconnect the KANN from PC
2. On the Home Screen of KANN, Touch the 'DAC/DISK' and then change into the 'DAC'.Or, Setting ? USB connection setting ? “DAC Input”
3. Click the Download button and download the USB DAC, and run the 'setup.exe' file, then click the [Next >] button
4. When the below screen is displayed, connect the KANN to PC, then Click the [Next >] button.
5. USB DAC connection screen will be displayed on KANN. Install location screen will be displayed on the install program. 6. Click the [Install] button
