Who Can Take It?
Drivers 55 years old (some insurance companies allow drivers 50 years old) or older who have a valid California driver's license can take our online Mature Driver courses. Check with your insurance agent to see if you qualify.
Which Course Should I Take?
You must take the 'Initial' course if you have never taken a California Mature Driver course. You can take the 'Renewal' course if you already completed a California Mature Driver Course and your certificate has not expire more than 12 months ago.

Are You DMV Approved?
Yes. Our Mature Driver Tune-Up Courses (online) are both approved and licensed by the California DMV (Lic #MO366).

Can My Spouse Take It?
Yes. You must register and use a different email address for each person. If you both use the same email address, click the link at the bottom of this page and read the information on the 'Questions' page.
Can I Stop and Start?
Yes. You can stop and start the course an unlimited number of times. Your progress is automatically saved.
How Long Does It Take?
Our 'Initial' course is 6.6 hours long (80 minutes shorter than 8 hour courses from AAA and AARP). The 'Renewal' course is 4 hours long. Since we have no annoying timers like AARP and AAA, you can finish as fast as you can read.
When Will I Get My Certificate?
You receive your certificate within 3 business days of completing the course for free (paper certificate by mail optional).
When Do I Have To Finish By?
You have an unlimited amount of time to finish. Other courses (i.e., AARP), have deadlines. Finish in one sitting or over multiple sessions.
How Can I Pay?
You register and pay through our secure online website. We accept all major credit/debit cards and PayPal accounts. Sorry. We do not accept checks.
What Do I Need To Take It?
Use any combination of internet enabled smartphone, tablet or computer to access and complete the course. No app or extra software required!
Do I Get Printed Material?
No. Our courses are 100% online. You read and watch the videos all on our website.
How Do I Get My Discount?
To receive your California State mandated auto insurance discount, you must complete our online Mature Driver Tune-Up course and give your official DMV Completion Certificate we send you, to your auto insurance company.
Is the Course Narrated?
Yes. You can have the course read to you, or you can just read the course. The decision is yours.
